7 problems faced by Muslim youths today

Muslim youths from all over the world face these challenges. It gets them confused about life in general-the do’s and don’t’s. It also leads them astray and below are 7 problems Muslim youths face.


This is a major problem of Muslim youths. They tend to follow the goodies the world has to offer, thus letting go of who they truly are. Muslim youths should have it in mind that their loyalty is to Allah as well as his messengers and true believers.

“And whoever is an ally of Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed – indeed, the party of Allah – they will be the predominant.” (Al-Ma’idah 5:56)

This point also touches on sexuality. It should be known that in Islam, men must be attracted to women and vice versa. A Muslim is also not allowed to live half way between being a man and a woman.


The world is now a global village thus creating the platform for Muslim youths to be confronted with spiteful media and to a great extent it makes Muslims think that quite a lot of sinful things are acceptable.


In the time when Umar was caliph, there was a married woman who used to have sex with her slave boy. Umar asked her why she does it she said he was her concubine. Umar didn’t stone her because she was ignorant – he taught her.It is true that in the western society, “ignorance of the law is no excuse’, but Shariah is merciful.


It is true that the non-believers can make you feel inferior but the fact of the matter is that no one is better than a believer.


This point centres around how certain things are seen by society. For example wearing a hijab can be problematic.


This is rampant in societies wherein Muslims are the minority. When a Muslim youth objects to a principle based on faith, he or she is termed an extremist or uncivilized individual. They are discriminated by other religions and groups.

This causes a major problem to Muslim youths because it supresses them.


This includes adventures like parties, romance, sex and other activities are prohibited in Islam. Some Muslim youths cannot abide by this doctrine and derive pleasure in committing these sins,Also, most of them are drawn into doing these prohibited activities to belong.
