Zakir is an Islamic scholar of Indian origin and one of the world’s leading salafi evangelist who uniquely delivers his da’awa in English language and dresses in a professional manner. He trained as a medical doctor and is notable for his vast knowledge and da’awa in Comparative Religion. He claims to have derived his inspiration from Ahmed Deedat (an Islamic preacher) and thus was given the title Deedat. Naik is unique for his ability to memorize the Quran and hadith in various languages. He has held many debates and lectures around the world on comparative religion which has earned numerous awards and recognition, some of which include 2013 personality of the year, 2015 International prize for service to Islam, and listed among 500 most influential Muslims.

He is a Muslim lecturer of American origin and is most popular among young Muslims round the world. He is a professor of Arabic studies who focused on the aspect of Tafseer. Nouman was inspired by Maulana Abdus Samii (a Pakistani scholar) who introduced him to learning Arabic. He is renowned for his unique understanding of the deeper meaning of the Qur’anic verses and use of English in contemporary idioms to explain the most complex of ideas. Today, Nouman stands as one the most influential Muslims of our times and the founder of Bayyinah TV and Institute.

Raised by a strong American Christian family, Yusuf obtained a PhD in Theology but by the will of Allah, he accepted Islam in 1991. He chose Yusuf and the skippy clawn and became the funny sheik. He started his journey by giving lectures about his conversion and gradually, became the crowds’ favorite as he spoke on various Islamic topics. Yusuf gained Islamic knowledge from various Islamic Institutions and scholars from around the world. His style of making the world’s most misunderstood religion simple and easy to understand made him a notable preacher. He is the founder of many Islamic websites and TV channels and served as the US chaplain for prison inmates as well as UN Muslim delegate.

Mufti Menk is broad minded motivational speaker of Zimbabwean origin who is fluent in both Arabic and Urdu. He earned a degree in Sharia and specialized in Iftaa. He was tutored by his dad who is also a renowned scholar. Mufti enjoys spending time with the under privileged as he is also an experienced social worker and counsellor. This has enabled him win the hearts of many. In 2015, he was awarded a Doctorate degree and Global Leadership Award in Social Guidance.

Abdur Raheem Green

He is an Islamic preacher who was formerly a Catholic Christian of British origin. He studied History at the University of London and before converting to Islam, he practiced Buddhism for nearly three years. By the will of Allah, he converted to Islam in 1988. He focuses on da’awah and as such, spent most of his years at speaker corners in Hyde Park where he became known as an inspirational orator. He has so far delivered many lectures as well as a regular on Peace TV and many web portals.

He is an American convert who accepted Islam in 1965. He spent 30 years of his life studying Fiqh, Aqeedah, Ahkam, Islamic history and Arabic from scholars and institutions around the world. One of his mentors was Sheik Khalid Al-Halwaany. He is renowned for his outspoken ability to deal with distortions and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims. He has delivered lectures in more than 51 countries and universities around the world and converted many in these act.

He is a preacher, teacher and author who considers himself a salafi (who advocates a traditional form of Islam). Bilal is a Canadian born in Jamaica and has earned a B.A and M.A in Aqidah. Philips is renowned for his Islamic Online University where he reaches out to Muslims in various parts of the globe. Unfortunately, Bilal Philips is one of those preachers banned from some parts of the world as his style is viewed as a threat to National Security. Nonetheless, his books and online program still puts him on the Popular Preachers list.

Born to a Christian family, Trevor Williams Forrest now called Sheik Faisal is a Muslim of Jamaican origin who accepted Islam at the age of 16. He studied Arabic and Islam in Saudi Arabia and afterwards moved to England where he started giving lectures in mosques. However, he was detained for radicalism and denied entry into many countries around the world, but fortunately for him gained him more fame.

The religion of Islam is the most feared and misunderstood yet fast growing religion in the world. Most of the effort is applied by the preachers who will have to create a balance between the government, people and the deen. May Allah (S.W.T) reward the Scholars who have endeavored to remind us of our religion and our responsibilities as Muslims, and give us the ability to put their reminders to practice. Amin.
