Arabian Hotel Investment Conference Sets to Begin in the U.A.E

This year’s Arabian Hotel Investment Conference is set to take place from the 17th to 19th April at the AHIC Village in the Waldorf Astoria Ral Al Khaimah grounds, UAE.

The event is expected to attract 700 hotel investors, leading financiers, C-level hotel executives, and major developers during the 3 days of networking.

According to organizers, the conference will feature content sharing and will include live on stage interviews with some of the most respected hotel leaders and businessmen in the world. The program also includes the first AHIC Global Project Showcase, which will be featuring hospitality investment opportunities from all over the globe.

The conference will give stakeholders the opportunity to address the serious issues of leadership, innovation, industry disruptors, and destination development through the macroeconomic viewpoint from the perspective of investors.

The Arabian Hotel Investment Conference 2018, organized in partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, will be inaugurated by the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and UAE Supreme Council Member, Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

Al Qasimi will give an important opening speech and unveil more insights into Ras Al Khaimah’s strategy, one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in the world, and also share stories that will inspire fellow leaders at the conference.

Haitham Mattar, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority’s chief executive officer said that they are looking forward to showcasing Al Marjan Island at the conference.

Chief Executive Officers behind some of the hottest new brands in the industry, including 25hours Hotel Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Christoph Hoffmann; Managing partner & Chief Executive Officer at Standard International, Amar Lalvani; and Owner – Tungsten Partners and Partner – Ace Group International, Michael Bisordi are expected to attend.

Giving his outlook, Christoph Hoffmann, CEO of 25hours Hotel Company said that he predicts more mergers in the industry in the coming years.

Michael Bisordi said that he believes investors should “focus inward” and rather look at assets on a local level than as a brand.

In the Meantime, the Middle East’s leading hotel owners such as the CEO of Action Hotels, Alain Debare; the Chairman of ORASCOM Development, Samih Sawiris; CEO of Hotels Majid Al Futtaim, Jalil Mekouar; the Chief Operating Officer of Hospitality and investment, Al Habtoor Group, Sanjeev Agarwala; and the CEO of Dur Hospitality, Dr. Badr Al Badr, will all speak on the investor’s perspective at the conference.
