CNBC to Broadcast ‘Capital Connection’ from Abu Dhabi Studios

On Monday April 23rd, the American financial news network CNBC will unveil its new headquarters in the Middle East with TV studios located at the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) complex.

The Abu Dhabi facility will act as the regional center for the broadcast network from where it will broadcast ‘Capital Connection’, a program anchored by Hadley Gamble, the network’s Middle East anchor.

CNBC said in a statement that Nancy Hungerford of CNBC will co-anchor the show from the news network’s Asia headquarters, based within the Singapore Exchange.

Hadley Gamble said that they have been reporting the business story of the Middle East to CNBC’s elite global audience for years. He said that the launch of their new home within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) complex starts a new chapter in their reporting from the region.

Gamble added that the ultra modern studios offer them with a fantastic platform to tell the business story of the globe through a unique Middle East lens.

The news network said that the broadcasts from the Middle East this week will include exclusive interviews with the chairman of Aldar Properties, Mohamed Khalifa, as well as Turki Al-Faisal, a Saudi prince. CNBC said Capital Connection will broadcast live from Abu Dhabi between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. GST, from Mondays to Thursdays.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Etihad Airways, Peter Baumgartner; CFO of SAP, Luka Mucic as well as Naguib Sawiris, the Egyptian billionaire will all be guests on Monday.

The senior vice president of international news and programming for CNBC, John Casey said that the news network broadcasts from the network’s international headquarters from London, New York, and Singapore on a daily basis. He said that with the addition of their new headquarters in the Middle Eastern region at the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) complex, they plan on connecting Abu Dhabi to the financial capitals of the world.

CNBC is a US based cable, satellite, and internet business news television channel. It is owned by NBC Universal News Group, a division of NBC Universal, both owned by Comcast.

CNBC is headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. It primarily carries business day coverage of US and international financial markets. At the end of a business day and on non-trading days, the news network primarily carries financial and business-themed reality shows and documentaries.
