From the 25th to 26th April, 2018, the 4th edition of the Arab Women in Leadership and Business Summit will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and president of the United Arab Emirates Genetic Diseases Association, GDA.
Organized in association with UAE Genetic Diseases Association, the two day summit will contribute to the values of diversity, women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and entrepreneurship.
Over 35 unmatched women leaders will be presenting at the conference in Dubai. The theme of this year’s summit is “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now” with feminism and women entrepreneurship in the spotlight in support of the advancement of women and gender equality.
Over 200 women business leaders from across the region will come together in what is billed as a “two days of strategic dialogue and networking”.
Founder and chairman of United Arab Emirates GAD, Dr. Maryam Matar said that recognizing opportunities for women in leadership, and precisely in the scientific fields is one of the essential pillars of UAE GDA. She disclosed that since 2004, her association has worked constantly towards developing the youth and women in the UAE and this year’s summit will help women in the region achieve their stated objectives.
The summit will task participants to consider the strategies needed to be developed further to improve women’s participation in the public and private sector through networking sessions, interactive panels and business lunches, as well as through power packed discussions.
The Dubai Business Women Council, Young Arab Leaders, AMCHAM Abu Dhabi and CEO Club Networks are the bodies that officially support the event.
