Here’s What The Holy Qur’an Says About Mercy… (Continuation)

Just in case you haven’t had enough of the divine mercy excerpts, here’s some more…

#1. It may be that your Lord may (yet) show Mercy unto you; but if ye revert (to your sins), We shall revert (to Our punishments): And we have made Hell a prison for those who reject (all Faith). (Surah Al-Isra’, 8)

#2. It is your Lord that knoweth you best: If He please, He granteth you mercy, or if He please, punishment: We have not sent thee to be a disposer of their affairs for them. (Surah Al-Isra’, 54)

#3. Your Lord is He That maketh the Ship go smoothly for you through the sea, in order that ye may seek of his Bounty (Surah Al-Isra’, 66)

#4. But your Lord is Most forgiving, full of Mercy.If He were to call them (at once) to account for what they have earned, then surely He would have earned, then surely He would have hastened their punishment: but they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no refuge. (Surah Al-Kahf, 58)

#5. And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth. (Surah Maryam, 50)

#6. And, out of Our Mercy, We gave him his brother Aaron, (also) a prophet. (Surah Maryam, 53)

#7. And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, “Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful.” (Surah Al-Anbiya’, 83)

#8. Seest thou not that Allah has made subject to you (men) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the sky (rain) from failing on the earth except by His leave: for Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to man. (Surah Al-Hajj, 65)

#9. If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. (Surah Al-Muminun, 75)

#10. “A part of My servants there was, who used to pray ‘our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!” (Surah Al-Muminun, 109)

#11. So say: “O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!” (Surah Al-Muminun, 118)

#12. And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. (Surah Ash-Shu‘ara’, 9)

#13. “He punishes whom He pleases, and He grants Mercy to whom He pleases, and towards Him are ye turned. (Surah Al-‘Ankabut, 21)
