How Do You Define Success? Here’s How Allah (SWT) Defines it (Part 2)

Of course, in Islam the one deemed more successful is the one who has provisions for the next world i.e, done good deeds that would help him/her attain Jannah. In case you didn’t have enough of the Qu’ranic excerpts regarding success, here’s more…

#1. “For if they should come upon you, they would stone you or force you to return to their cult, and in that case ye would never attain prosperity.” (Surah Al-Kahf, 20)

#2. O ye who believe! bow down, prostrate yourselves, and adore your Lord; and do good; that ye may prosper. (Surah Al-Hajj, 77)

#3. The believers must (eventually) win through,- (Surah Al-Muminun, 1)

#4. But say not – for any false thing that your tongues may put forth,- “This is lawful, and this is forbidden,” so as to ascribe false things to Allah.For those who ascribe false things to Allah, will never prosper. (Surah An-Nahl, 116)

#5. Such (being their state), we raised them up (from sleep), that they might question each other.Said one of them, “How long have ye stayed (here)?” They said, “We have stayed (perhaps) a day, or part of a day.” (At length) they (all) said, “(Allah) (alone) knows best how long ye have stayed here….Now send ye then one of you with this money of yours to the town: let him find out which is the best food (to be had) and bring some to you, that (ye may) satisfy your hunger therewith: And let him behave with care and courtesy, and let him not inform any one about you. (Surah Al-Kahf, 19)

#6. Said Moses to his people: “Pray for help from Allah, and (wait) in patience and constancy: for the earth is Allah.s, to give as a heritage to such of His servants as He pleaseth; and the end is (best) for the righteous (Surah Al-A‘raf, 128)

#7. “Those who follow the apostle, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them.So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper.” (Surah Al-A‘raf, 157)

#8. O ye who believe! When ye meet a force, be firm, and call Allah in remembrance much (and often); that ye may prosper: (Surah Al-Anfal, 45)

#9. But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper. (Surah At-Tawba, 88)

#10. Who doth more wrong than such as forge a lie against Allah, or deny His Signs? But never will prosper those who sin. (Surah Yunus, 17)

#11. Say: “Those who invent a lie against Allah will never prosper.” (Surah Yunus, 69)

#12. Said Moses: “Say ye (this) about the truth when it hath (actually) reached you? Is sorcery (like) this? But sorcerers will not prosper.” (Surah Yunus, 77)

#13. He said: “O my people! see ye whether I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord, and He hath given me sustenance (pure and) good as from Himself? I wish not, in opposition to you, to do that which I forbid you to do.I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah.In Him I trust, and unto Him I look. (Surah Hud, 88)
