Misguidance-From the Qu’ranic Standpoint (Continuation)

Wouldn’t you want to read more on what the Quran has to say on misguidance so you could guide and protect yourself from straying away from you deen (religion) and being among the people of the hellfire? Read on if you said “Yes”!

#20. These are they who have bartered Guidance for error: But their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction, (Surah Al-Baqara, 16)

#21. They are the ones who buy Error in place of Guidance and Torment in place of Forgiveness. Ah! What boldness (They show) for the Fire! (Surah Al-Baqara, 175)

#22. Allah did confer a great favour on the believers when He sent among them an apostle from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs of Allah, sanctifying them, and instructing them in Scripture and Wisdom, while, before that, they had been in manifest error. (Surah Al-Imran, 164)

#23. Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were given a portion of the Book? They traffic in error, and wish that ye should lose the right path. (Surah An-NisaÂ’, 44)

#24. Lo! Abraham said to his father Azar: “Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy people in manifest error.” (Surah Al-An‘am, 74)

#25. Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance. (Surah Al-A‘raf, 30)

#26. And Allah will not mislead a people after He hath guided them, in order that He may make clear to them what to fear (and avoid)- for Allah hath knowledge of all things. (Surah At-Tawba, 115)

#27. Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away? (Surah Yunus, 32)

#28. Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance. (Surah Ä°brahim, 3)

#29. The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: No power have they over aught that they have earned: that is the straying far, far (from the goal). (Surah Ä°brahim, 18)

#30. For We assuredly sent amongst every People an apostle, (with the Command), “Serve Allah, and eschew Evil”: of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established).So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). (Surah An-Nahl, 36)

#31. How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! But the unjust today are in error manifest! (Surah Maryam, 38)

#32. He said, “Indeed ye have been in manifest error – ye and your fathers.” (Surah Al-AnbiyaÂ’, 54)

#33. They call on such deities, besides Allah, as can neither hurt nor profit them: that is straying far indeed (from the Way)! (Surah Al-Hajj, 12)

#34. When they see thee, they treat thee no otherwise than in mockery: “Is this the one whom Allah has sent as an apostle?” (Surah Al-Furqan, 41

#35. “He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!” – Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path! (Surah Al-Furqan, 42)

#36. “‘By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest, (Surah Ash-Shu‘araÂ’, 97)

#37. “‘When we held you as equals with the Lord of the Worlds; (Surah Ash-Shu‘araÂ’, 98)

#38. Verily He Who ordained the Qur’an for thee, will bring thee back to the Place of Return. Say: “My Lord knows best who it is that brings true guidance, and who is in manifest error.” (Surah Al-Qasas, 85)

#39. Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam). (Surah Ar-Rum, 53)
