It was announced on Sunday that the UAE innovation week will be extended to a month. This is set to happen by 2018.
This directive was issued on Sunday by his Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and that the next edition of UAE Innovation Month would be in February 2018.
This move by the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai came at a perfect time to waken the resounding successes achieved in the second edition (where many international organisations submitted applications to hold innovation conferences in the UAE).
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future and Chairman of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Committee, said in a statement that Shaikh Mohammad’s instructions came at a perfect time to help structure the UAE innovation week (in which the best innovation and innovators will be attracted by the UAE).
“The UAE Innovation Month will see major events in each emirate and will be open to all people throughout the month. It will also witness a lot of global innovation-related events. During 2017, we will announce a number of leading initiatives that will back innovation in the UAE”, Al Gergawi said.
The UAE government is in line with the plans on the innovation month and helps to support its people to the fullest through new ideas and well as solutions for future challenges.
