According to a statement on Wednesday, it was be said that City Group, the company behind Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden, is on a verge of opening the world’s first nature inspired mall in Dubai.
This Cityland Mall is expected to open by the second quarter of 2018 and would be located at Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (next to Global Village). There is also an expected footfall of about 12 million visitors.
“The mall guarantees an immersive experience for all members of the family, led by a strong selection of renowned fashion retailers, convenience store, cinema theatre and dining options that are both internationally reputed and locally popular,” said Fahimuddin Sharfuddin, chief executive and board member at Cityland Group.
The mall would be a 2.2 million square foot and would feature a 200,000 square feet open air garden which would be called Central Park. There would also be a mini-water park (which will feature a 300 year old ancient tree garden, walking track, parking space, cluster of restaurants, cafes and a 360 degree rooftop garden. The mall would also feature a 3,000 seat amphitheatre for performing arts children for the entire yea.
“A central attraction within the mall, access to the park will be free of charge, and will ensure repeat visits,” said Abdel Naser Rahhal, Vice-Chairman (Cityland Group).
The mall would also consist of 6 thematic pavilions, each with its global design and style which would represent the cultural diversity of the UAE. The mall would also feature 350 retail stores which includes furnishing stores, cosmetic shops, personal banking services and electronic outlets.
The largest share of the retail space would be for Fashion outlets which covers about 48%of total leasable area.
