Some of the Best Arab Football Players in Europe

Unarguably, Europe has the most competitive football leagues than the rest of the world. The pace and level of play on the continent is replicated no where else across the globe. It is for this reason that the biggest names and the most paid footballers ply their trade there. In today’s Profile, we take a look at six of the most familiar Arab names playing football across Europe.

#6.Sofiane Feghouli (Algeria)

SofianeWest Ham fans will be the ones most familiar with the Algerian attacker Sofiane Feghouli. After signing for West Ham from Valencia in the summer of 2016, Feghouli did not prove his worth in the English Premier League (EPL) prompting his departure to the Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray. Nevertheless, the talented winger is a really quality player who was very well rated by ex-manager, Slaven Bilic.

Now playing for Galatasary in the Turkish Süper Lig, could he finally shine for the Turkish club? We are hopeful to see him improve and adapt to the tough challenges of the Turkish Süper lig.

#5.Yacine Brahimi (Algeria) 


This French born Algerian professional footballer currently plays for FC Porto in Portugal and the Algerian National team. He plays as an attacking midfielder and has proven to be an asset in the wings as well.  Brahimi is a technically gifted player and a great passer of the ball.

Brahimi previously played for France as a youth representing that country in all youth levels. He however switched his allegiance to Algeria in February 2013, and made his debut a month later.

The 27-yerar-old had been in the spotlight in the Porto first team, and have attracted attention from various big teams in the EPL.

Mehdi is a French born Moroccan player who plays as a centre back both for Juventus and the Moroccan national team. The Moroccan international had successful spells at Roma and Bayern Munich before moving to Juventus. There is speculation that Mehdi may move to Lyon after the French club expressed interests in him.

He is an Egyptian football player who plays as a midfielder both for Arsenal in the EPL and the Egypt national team. Mohamed Elneny commenced his senior career at El Mokawloon and later transferred to Basel in 2013. He won the Swiss Super League and had eight honours while there playing for Basel. Elneny had played a great role in his country’s quest for the African Cup of Nations glory. He is yet to prove his worth in the EPL for the Gunners.

He currently attracts lots of interests from the top teams in England. So far Arsenal is tipped as the favourites to get his signature.
